Secondary Water and Drought Information

What: Replacing turf grass with water wise landscaping (sustainable plants, more efficient sprinklers, etc.)
Where: &nbsp;4400 S &amp; 300 W and S. Pointe Dr. &amp; 5250 S
Why: To promote wise water use and to present a more sustainable landscape for the future

Secondary Water Pressurization Dates:

Weber Basin anticipates their system will be fully pressurized and available for use by the week of April 15th. They advise residents not to utilize their secondary irrigation water until their landscapes require it. Additionally, they recommend refraining from scheduling any sod or seeding until you have verified the availability of water at your property. The water will be turned off starting on October 15th

Pineview will begin filling the secondary water system on April 15th. The system will not be fully pressurized until all repairs are made throughout the entire system. This can take from one week to one month, depending on the severity of mainline breaks over the winter months. They also recommend the following steps:

Wait to water until your landscape needs it
No watering between 10 AM & 6 PM
No watering on consecutive days
No watering for excessive lengths of time
Repair water lines and sprinkler heads ASAP
Don't let your water run down the gutter or onto neighboring properties
Don't allow sprinkler heads to spray the street, sidewalks, or other hard surface areas

The water will be shut off on October 15th.
