2026 Road Maintenance
2026 Annual Street Maintenance Projects
Washington Terrace City has several street maintenance projects planned for this summer. Routine street maintenance involves proactive preservation methods to preserve and prolong the Remaining Service Life (RSL) of the streets. Each street has been analyzed and prioritized for what type of treatment and when it needs to be treated. Applying the right treatment at the right time will increase the RSL.
These asphalt preservation treatments will consist of:
- Chip Seal
- Slurry seal
- Asphalt overlay
- Soft Spot repairs
These projects are scheduled to occur between June 15th and August 31st, 2026. Residents and businesses within the area will be notified by door flyer prior to construction in their area. Please be vigilant in the construction zones and obey traffic control signs to help ensure workers’ safety.
The street maintenance applications typically take 1-2 days to apply. Residents in the area will be notified prior to construction and there will be no parking allowed on the street during the construction. Not having to work around parked vehicles and obstacles in the street will ensure a quality project and safety for the construction crew and personal property.
