All Dogs that are living in Washington Terrace City are required to be licensed. One household is allowed a maximum of two dogs. Cats are not required to be licensed. Having a current license provides the public with proof of ownership and vaccination, and provides your information in the event your beloved pet gets lost.

Things to Know About the Pet Licensing Process:
  • All licenses must be renewed each year.
  • Make sure to have proof of current rabies vaccine for your pet.
  • Make sure to have your pet's spay or neuter certificate (if applicable).
  • The license will expire in the month in which you obtained the license.
  • You may apply for or renew your pet license in person at the Washington Terrace City Hall, over the phone, or online.
  • You may pay with cash, credit/debit card (2% fee applied) or check.
