The Public Works Department

The Public Works Director is responsible for overseeing the Public Works Department.  The Department has the responsibility for maintaining all City infrastructure; including the water distribution and storage system, fire hydrants and water meters, the sewer collection system, the storm water detention and collection system, and regulatory compliance relating to these utilities.  The Public Works Department oversees and coordinates snow removal; as well as street & sidewalk repair, cleaning, and construction.  It is responsible for all City building and park maintenance and construction and ensures that the parks are a safe environment for all residents.  Last, but not least, the Public Works Department oversees garbage disposal and the recycling program.
