Crack Seal Road Maintenance 4/17-18 & 28-30/2025

Washington Terrace City is set to commence its annual street maintenance projects. Maintenance crews will be applying crack seal material from April 17th - 18th & 28th - 30th.
To facilitate the application process, we kindly ask residents not to park on the streets in the designated areas indicated on the map, and to remove any obstacles from the roadside. Garbage containers may remain on garbage collection days, but please ensure they are taken away promptly afterward.
Prior to the sealing process, the asphalt cracks will be thoroughly cleaned to remove any debris and moisture. This cleaning will be conducted using methods such as air blasting or other approved techniques.
The crack seal material consists of hot-pour asphalt cement, which may include modifiers such as fiber, rubber crumb, polymers, and polymer-modified emulsions. This material is applied at elevated temperatures to ensure effective sealing of the cracks and cools and dries rapidly. We urge everyone to adhere to all traffic control signs and directions from personnel to prevent any premature tracking.
