Planning Commission
The Planning Commission is comprised of 7 members appointed by the Mayor and Council to serve 4-year terms. The Planning Commissioners volunteer their time to serve the community on land use issues. The Planning Commission holds meetings on the last Thursday of each month, unless otherwise specified.

Planning Commission Application
Washington Terrace has a wonderful opportunity for residents who would like to volunteer to serve the community. The Planning Commission serves as the Land Use Authority for the city and makes recommendations to the legislative body concerning ordinances that involve Land Use, Zoning, Zoning and General Maps, Subdivisions, and contributions to the General Plan. The Planning Commission is scheduled to meet the last Thursday of each month at 6:00p.m. Commissioners must attend regular meetings and attend mandatory annual training. The commitment term for a Planning Commissioner is 4 years.

There is currently one position vacant. Applications are due by March 25, 2026.
